"Breathe-in experience, breathe-out poetry."
~Muriel Rukeyser

My poems are a reflection of my personal journey, my connection with nature, my way of reflecting on my work with those at the end of life and with veterans, my spirituality and connection with the Holy, and my thoughts on the universality of our human journey. I am a lover of poetry and read many poets, most 20th and 21st century. I sometimes emulate favorite styles in my work as I continue to develop my own poetic voice. Some of my works are gentle, some edgier. There is no right or wrong way to respond to anyone’s poems. If you find yourself having a strong response, I just ask that you be curious, seeing it as something to explore. If you are interested in exploring your own journey further through the use of poetry (or in general,) consider contacting me for spiritual direction.

Also, several of my poems (and a few photos!) have been published through Tiny Seed Literary Journal and are available to read online. The rest of my published pieces are in print and not available for download. If you would like to view the ones at Tiny Seed (which is a lovely organization, by the way), simply type in “anne richardson” in the search bar and my offerings appear. How fun is that!
